Braag & Product
Vinyl flooring provides numerous advantages that make it an outstanding choice for both residential and commercial environments. Here are compelling reasons to select vinyl flooring:
Durability: Vinyl floors deliver exceptional durability and wear resistance. They excel in high-traffic areas and easily withstand daily demands from families, pets, and commercial environments.
Water resistance: One of vinyl flooring's greatest strengths is superior water resistance. This makes it perfect for moisture-prone areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, and basements, where conventional flooring often presents challenges.
Maintenance simplicity: Vinyl floors require minimal upkeep. Regular sweeping and occasional damp mopping keeps them looking pristine.
Comfort and acoustic performance: Vinyl floors provide soft, comfortable underfoot feel. They also offer excellent sound absorption capabilities, creating quieter, more peaceful living environments.
Installation flexibility: Braag's click floors feature a convenient click system enabling quick, straightforward installation without adhesives or specialized tools. This makes them perfect for DIY enthusiasts. Gluedown floors, however, bond directly to the subfloor and demand precise installation techniques. Therefore, we recommend professional installation for this type.
Design versatility: Vinyl floors come in extensive color, pattern, and texture selections that authentically replicate natural materials like wood and stone. This allows you to select flooring that perfectly complements your interior design vision.
Environmental responsibility: Many vinyl floors, including Braag products, are manufactured without harmful substances such as heavy metals. They provide safety for both environmental protection and home use.
Braag vinyl floors deliver the perfect combination: authentic natural material aesthetics paired with exceptional user convenience. Braag flooring features a slim profile while providing quiet, warm, and moisture-resistant performance.
Multiple format options are available: planks, tiles, zigzag, or dryback. With characteristics including comfort, durability, and complete waterproof protection, all Braag floors work excellently in bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, offices, utility rooms, bedrooms, children's areas, and beyond.
To simplify your selection process, our collection is organized into five ranges, each featuring consistent specifications, pricing, and warranties.
Engineered Vinyl Plank comes in a long rectangular shape and is available in the Horizon, Skyline, Bloom, and Harvest collections.
Engineered Vinyl Tile comes in a square shape and is available in the Summit collection.
Engineered Vinyl Zigzag include Spirit and Palette collections.
Engineered Vinyl Dryback are gluedown floors and is available in the Spirit and Summit collections.
Important note! Each collection features its own unique color options, except for the Palette collection, whose colors are aligned with matching references from the Skyline and Horizon collections.
Dryback floors are vinyl flooring glued directly to the subfloor. They provide a sleek, seamless appearance and can be installed efficiently, creating a quick and effective flooring solution.
Click vinyl is a type of flooring composed of multiple layers and engineered for easy installation through a click system.
A click vinyl floor is also referred to as a floating vinyl floor. This means the flooring is not adhered to the subfloor.
A gluedown vinyl floor is also called a dryback vinyl floor. This vinyl flooring type is adhered directly to the subfloor. No underlay is required. In other words, you permanently secure the floor to the subfloor. The subfloor must be completely level for proper installation.
The main difference is that gluedown vinyl is adhered directly to the subfloor, while click vinyl is installed using a click system.

Yes, you can relocate your Braag click floor when you move. Since Braag click floors are installed using a click system, no adhesive is involved. This makes the floor relatively straightforward to disassemble—and equally easy to reinstall. This applies only to Braag's click floors. Glue-down floors are not relocatable, as they are permanently adhered to the subfloor. Therefore, when you move, they cannot be removed or reused.
Braag achieves fire class rating: Bfl-s1.
S1: represents the highest smoke classification and indicates only 'minimal or no smoke production' during fire conditions.
The European ranking system includes: A1fl, A2fl, Bfl, Cfl, Dfl, Efl and Ffl, where B signifies 'very limited contribution to fire'. Braag performs excellently in this category.
Vinyl floors can rightfully be considered nearly perfect flooring solutions for homes with pets.
Dirt, rainwater, and minor accidents can be effortlessly cleaned with a damp cloth, leaving no residual marks or stains. Additionally, our vinyl products feature durable surfaces that resist damage from small pet claws.
Pet activities such as running and sudden stops throughout living areas leave no marks on the flooring, while the non-slip wear layer provides secure traction to keep animals safely grounded during movement.
Preparation & Installation
Several important considerations must be addressed when installing a Braag engineered vinyl floor:
-
Prior to installation, allow the flooring to acclimate horizontally at room temperature between 20°C and 25°C for a minimum of 12 hours for click floors to facilitate easier installation. Gluedown floors require an extended acclimation period of at least 24 hours. In cold conditions (outdoor temperatures below 10°C), we recommend extending the acclimation time to a minimum of 48 hours.
-
The subfloor must be clean, level, permanently dry, and structurally sound. Verify that the floor surface meets flatness and dryness requirements before proceeding.
-
Plan your installation layout carefully, measure the space accurately, and develop an installation diagram when necessary.
-
When installing across multiple rooms, plan several steps in advance. Take time to develop a comprehensive overview of the entire project. If working with professional installers, discuss the exact execution methodology beforehand.
-
When utilizing installation services, clearly communicate the specific procedures and expectations with the installation company.
-
Study the installation instructions thoroughly and adhere to all provided recommendations.
-
A floating installation is a method of installing floors where the boards are not directly attached to the subfloor through gluing, nailing, or screwing. Instead, the boards are fastened together, as with the click system from Braag. Floating floors are typically easier and faster to install than gluedown floors requiring mechanical fastening or adhesive application. Additionally, they can usually be installed over existing floors with minimal preparation.

Yes, proper acclimation of your Braag vinyl floor is essential for optimal installation. This process allows the flooring to adjust to the ambient temperature conditions.
For click floors, planks should acclimate horizontally for at least 12 hours within the installation area. During this period, maintain temperatures between 20 and 25°C. This allows the flooring to release any tension accumulated during transportation or storage—a process we refer to as "de-stressing" the floor.
For gluedown floors, an extended acclimation period is necessary: allow planks to rest horizontally for at least 24 hours in the room where installation will occur. In cold conditions (outdoor temperatures below 10°C), extend this period to at least 48 hours.
Critical note: When acclimating gluedown floors, stack no more than 6 boxes on top of each other to prevent deformation of the lower layers.
You will need to level or smooth the floor if the floor is uneven.
For click vinyl floor, acceptable flatness deviation is limited to 5 mm across a 2-meter span and 1 mm over 20 cm distances.
For gluedown vinyl floor, acceptable flatness deviation is limited to 4,8 mm across a 3-meter span and 1,6 mm over 30 cm distances.
In essence, you can start wherever you like, but it is always recommended to begin along a straight wall to ensure the lines run parallel.
For zigzag collection of Braag floors, installation usually starts from the center of the room. This allows you to achieve a beautifully symmetrical pattern especially important when the floor continues into multiple rooms or when you want the pattern to align with a central feature.
Yes, all our Braag engineered vinyl floors are suitable for installation over underfloor heating systems.
Solid vinyl flooring must be fully adhered when installed over underfloor heating and in areas with floor-to-ceiling windows. Our adhesive vinyl flooring is also compatible with underfloor heating systems. The heating system must be switched off during installation.
As a fundamental requirement, all new mineral substrates must be heated prior to installing resilient floor coverings to eliminate damaging moisture ("installation-ready heating"). This substrate heating requirement applies year-round, in both winter and summer conditions.
We recommend following our "heating protocol" template or having the process conducted by specialized professionals. Adhere to additional guidelines provided by your screed contractor and heating engineer.
Different requirements apply for installation over electric underfloor heating systems, as these operate at higher surface temperatures.
Please observe the following guidelines:
-
Install your flooring only on systems equipped with temperature sensors and controllers
-
DO NOT install over older electric floor heating systems (installed before 2000)
-
DO NOT install over night storage heaters
-
Maximum surface temperature of 29°C must not be exceeded when you have the Braag click vinyl floors
-
Maximum surface temperature of 27°C must not be exceeded when you have the Braag gluedown vinyl floors
-
Avoid rapid heating processes
-
Yes, it is mandatory to provide a expansion gap all around, since they need space to expand or contract with temperature changes.
With Braag click floors, it is mandatory to provide a 8 mm expansion gap all around.
With Braag gluedown floors, it is mandatory to provide a 3 mm expansion gap all around.
No, Braag click vinyl foors have pre-attached underlayments.
For our gluedown floors, you don't need underlay either.
Braag Flooring is specifically engineered for interior applications only and must not be installed in the following locations:
-
Spaces containing drainage systems (such as shower areas, garage spaces)
-
Moisture-rich environments including saunas or pool-adjacent areas
-
Non-heated spaces where ambient temperatures could fall below 0°C
-
Hair styling establishments (due to chemical exposure risks)
-
Locations with regular rubber wheel contact, including bicycle retail spaces or tire storage areas
-
Yes, it is recommended to mix several boxes of Braag planks or tiles during installation. This ensures that any minor color and pattern variations are evenly distributed throughout the room, resulting in a more natural-looking and cohesive floor surface. By mixing planks or tiles from different boxes, you achieve a more beautiful and uniform end result.
For click floors:
Around 5% cutting loss for our planks.
Around 10% cutting loss for our tiles.
Around 15% cutting loss for our zigzag collection.
For gluedown floors:
Assume for 5% cutting waste when using our planks.
Assume for 7% cutting waste when using our tiles and zigzag.
Yes, it is possible to install a Braag click floor without profiles over an area of up to 20 m x 20 m. This capability stems from the exceptional dimensional stability. Braag's innovative click system enables installation on both sides of the plank. When transitioning from a hallway into a wider living room, for example, you can continue installation both left and right without encountering issues.
There are several factors to consider:
Temperature variation between rooms should be minimal (maximum 12°C).
If one room features underfloor heating while the adjacent room does not, you must discontinue the floor with a transition profile to allow the two sections to move freely and independently.
Ensure a 8 mm expansion joint is maintained on all sides of the room. This allows the floor to accommodate movement as temperatures fluctuate.
For our gluedown floors, there’s no need to use transition profiles.
Please read through our installation instruction of click floors.

You can install a Braag floor yourself! Braag floors are click vinyl floors, which means they are specially designed for easy do-it-yourself installation. Thanks to the convenient click system (dry installation, no adhesive required), there is no need to hire a professional installer—although you certainly can if you prefer additional assurance. In addition to click floors, Braag also offers gluedown vinyl flooring. For a flawless finish, we recommend having it installed by an experienced professional.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Braag vinyl floors offer exceptional ease of maintenance. Standard cleaning equipment such as a brush, vacuum cleaner, microfibre cloth, or damp mop paired with pH-neutral maintenance solutions is all that's required. Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals. Ensure no standing water remains on the surface after cleaning. Our advanced top layer featuring anti-stain technology means no special post-installation treatment is required.
Steam cleaning is completely safe for your Braag flooring. The brief temperature exposure has no lasting impact and will not damage the click system, decorative layer, coloration, or any other product characteristics. Important note: During intensive cleaning sessions, moisture may penetrate beneath the floor covering, potentially affecting the subfloor material (wood, concrete, screed, anhydrite, etc.) over time. We recommend using a steam cleaner equipped with a wide nozzle along with a microfibre cloth. Always thoroughly dry your Braag floor with a dry cloth or mop immediately following steam cleaning.
Daily Care
-
Sweep, dust mop, or vacuum regularly using equipment without beater bars
-
Damp mop with neutral pH cleaners, avoiding bleach, abrasives, wax, or oil-based products
-
Clean spills, standing water, and pet accidents immediately
-
-
Use felt furniture protectors—never rubber pads which can stain permanently
-
Equip office chairs with soft wheels (Type W) or protective mats
-
Never drag heavy objects across the surface
-
For persistent stains, use a damp mop or pH-neutral vinyl cleaner. To eliminate stubborn stains, apply cleaner to a soft cloth or mop and work away the stain. For particularly difficult marks, apply the cleaner directly to the stained area and allow it to penetrate before wiping clean.
Key advantage: Braag's innovative anti-stain excimer technology prevents stains from penetrating the surface layer. Clean stains from your floor effortlessly—most marks can be removed with just a dry microfibre cloth.
Yes, pressure points can potentially occur. Two critical factors determine the formation (and permanence) of pressure indentations: applied pressure and duration of exposure.
Extremely heavy furniture with minimal contact surfaces, remaining stationary for extended periods, will create pressure points on resilient flooring just as they would on other soft floor coverings. However, expanding the contact area using appropriate distribution plates (plastic or metal) can effectively prevent this issue.
To prevent sun-related discoloration of your Braag flooring, follow these essential protective measures:
-
Minimize direct sunlight exposure: Shield your floor from intense direct sunlight wherever possible. Achieve this by installing blinds, curtains, or venetian blinds. This protection not only prevents discoloration but also helps maintain comfortable room temperatures.
-
Strategic placement of floor mats: Position protective mats near windows and other areas where the floor receives concentrated sunlight exposure. This reduces the risk of localized discoloration in high-exposure zones.
-
Regular repositioning of furnishings: Periodically move furniture and area rugs to prevent uneven sun exposure across different floor sections. This practice ensures uniform aging and maintains consistent appearance throughout the installation.
-
Understand warranty coverage: While Braag floors are engineered for exceptional durability, please note that warranty protection does not extend to damage resulting from prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight that elevates floor surface temperatures beyond 60°C.
Implementing these preventive strategies will help maintain the aesthetic appeal and extend the lifespan of your Braag flooring, even in spaces with abundant natural lighting.
-
Yes, using a runner mat with Braag floors is highly recommended. It's essential to select appropriate entrance mats without rubber backing at all access points. This prevents dirt accumulation, helping preserve the beauty and extend the lifespan of your Braag flooring. Ensure regular cleaning of the mat itself. Proper matting also minimizes scratches and wear caused by tracked-in debris and particles.
Yes, but make sure the wheels are soft and broad.
Please avoid these types of wheels:
-
Narrow wheels, which can create concentrated pressure points on your flooring. This isn't optimal for floor performance. Select broader wheels instead.
-
Rubber wheels, since rubber and vinyl materials may transfer over time and create permanent marks. Opt for alternative soft materials.
-
Rigid wheels, including those constructed from metal or hard plastic materials.
-
Tip 1: Install entrance mats: Prevent dirt, moisture, and sand infiltration by using appropriately sized cleaning mats. Choose mats without rubber backing and position them at every entrance to your home. This prevents damage while simplifying maintenance and extending your Braag floor's service life.
Tip 2: Apply furniture protection: Install quality protective caps on furniture legs. Avoid inexpensive options—select high-grade, softer protective caps instead. Clean them regularly and replace when they accumulate debris or show wear. Keep felt pads dry, as wet pads collect dirt particles and create abrasive surfaces similar to sandpaper.
Tip 3: Lift heavy items: Always lift heavy objects and furniture rather than dragging them across the floor surface.
Tip 4: Install appropriate casters: Use soft wheels exclusively on hard surfaces like Braag flooring. Equip all mobile furniture with wide, soft casters (consult suppliers if needed). Ensure wheels are non-rubber and sufficiently wide to prevent point loading on the floor. Consider placing non-rubber protective mats under chairs and mobile furniture.
Tip 5: Select proper maintenance products: Clean your floor using PVC-appropriate maintenance products. Inappropriate products may damage the protective coating.
